AVOCADO AND CUCUMBER SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 an avocado (not overripe)

1 small cucumber, six to eight inches long

3 dates

1/2 tablespoon pumpkin seed

1/2 tablespoon sunflower seed

1 pod of crushed cardamom

a few ice cubes

8-10 ounces of water

 

METHOD:

  1. Peel and cut the avocado. Wash the cucumbers and cut them into pieces.
  2. Put the avocado, cucumbers, dates, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, crushed cardamom, ice cubes and water into a blender (if you want it to be thicker, use less water).
  3. Blend together until nice and smooth. Put into a glass and garnish with whatever you want (or nothing at all) and serve. The smoothie below is garnished with pomegranate seeds.
